Trophée remis annuellement depuis 1925 au joueur de la Ligue nationale de hockey ayant démontré le plus bel esprit sportif et le plus d’habileté au jeu.

Lady Byng, l’épouse du douzième gouverneur général du Canada lord J.H. George Byng de Vimy, offrit ce trophée à LNH en 1925. Lorsque Frank Boucher fut désigné gagnant une gagna septième fois en huit ans, la LNH lui fit cadeau du trophée original. Lady Byng en fournit un second à la LNH en 1936.
